Due to changed requirements for vehicles, a mixed assembly of steel and aluminium is becoming more common. Newer and more modern joining technologies are increasingly being used to satisfy the large variation of material thickness combinations that are found in car bodies.
IDEM is deliberately keeping up with this trend today. As such, we are pleased to announce that three of our employees have successfully completed training for “Joining technologies, materials and repair” at the Volkswagen Bildungsinstitut GmbH.
The objective of this training was to particularly learn the foundations and technical knowledge regarding joining techniques in mixed steel and aluminium assembly along with their options for repair and servicing.
